Summer Sewage Repair Work to Begin Soon in Penn Hills

An area just outside of Pittsburgh is getting a sewer system upgrade and at the cost of roughly $900,000. Penn Hills is embarking on a three-month sewage repair process that will involve about two miles of the system and includes replacing 41 sections of sewer lines, lining 49 sections and cleaning a pipe. Strip District is Stripping its Water and Sewer Lines

The Strip District of Pittsburgh is getting a makeover – underground that is. Beginning in late April, more than 3,600 feet of water lines beneath Smallman Street in the area of 16th to 21st streets and more than 4,000 feet of sewer lines will be replaced and rehabbed resulting in a $9 million effort to enhance the underground aging infrastructure in the Steel City. University Of Pennsylvania’s “Green” Work of Art

The University of Pennsylvania has been both resourceful and innovative in the creation of sustainable “green” projects. Within the last decade, collaborators formed an outstretched area of land intended for use by the Penn community, named Shoemaker Green. Pittsburgh Begins Revitalization of Water Tanks

The city of Pittsburgh and cities across Pennsylvania are rehabilitating water storage tanks approved by the local water company.  At least 13 tanks will be inspected and repainted with the goal of prolonging the effectiveness of the tanks and protecting water quality.  American Water has been instrumental in keeping infrastructures up to date and in good operating condition.  The project will also serve to enhance the service that communities receive by and upgrading the equipment the city uses for sewer
